🇬🇷 Us in Greece

We (Annette & Dirk) fond of traveling in Greece because of its perfect combination of nature, culture and hospitality. It’s a place where we can relax and enjoy the beauty of nature while experiencing plentiful new and exhilarating things.

There is something relaxing and serene about being on the water and simultaneously discovering nature, untouched by civilization. It’s the perfect place to escape the stress of everyday life and to enjoy the sun and the sea.

⚓️ Cockpit

The uniquely closed cockpit protects us from the elements such as rain, sun, wind, and water. This means we’ll stay dry and warm, even in bad weather.

This allows for longer and more enjoyable sailing adventures through all seasons. The closed cockpit provides enough space to move safely.

🛌 Bow cabin

Two spacious mattresses which are two meters long await you in the bow cabin. The head of the beds, with a width of 70 cm, is enough to make yourself comfortable.

The bow cabin is equipped with one large and two smaller closets for clothes.

🛌 Bunk beds

The bunk beds have a length of 195 cm, a width of 80 cm at the head and 60 cm at the foot. The bow cabin and the bunk beds will share a bathroom.

There are two drawers for clothes at the bottom of the beds.

🛌 Captain's cabin

The captain’s cabin with its own bathroom is very homely and cozy. The mattress is 192 cm long, the width at the head 130 cm and 100 cm at the feet, respectively. However, it could be a bit cramped for two tall people.

There’s plenty of storage space inside, including a large closet!

🛋️ Salon

The welcoming atmosphere in the aft deck offers plenty of space for relaxing, reading, eating, and socializing.

You can comfortably spend a long time here, especially in bad weather or on long journeys.

👩‍🍳 Pantry

Our kitchen offers enough space and equipment to pamper yourself with culinary delights.

🛀 Bathrooms

There are two bathrooms on board the Tinker. The bow cabin and the bunk beds share one bathroom, equipped with an electric toilet. Each cabin has access to the bathroom through its own door.

The captain’s cabin has its own bathroom with a shower and a manual toilet. We can all shower here. In summer, however, the outside shower on the deck is often preferred.

⛵️ Assistance

There is nothing more beautiful than the freedom and peace you experience on the water.

However, docking and disembarking a ship can sometimes be a challenge. In moments like this it’s nice to have a few helping hands.

With your little help, this task becomes easier and more enjoyable.

✅ General

Dealing with the old lady

At the time this website was created, Tinker has been already over 45 years old. Careful handling of a boat is not only a question of safety, but also a question of appreciation and respect for the history it carries. We handle the materials carefully and avoid unnecessary peak loads. We prefer to distribute the forces optimally in order to steer the boat as smoothly as possible through wind and waves. The same applies to cupboards, drawers, refrigerators, toilets and all other things that you use on board.

  • Please let us know by email when you will arrive at the airport.
  • Send us the name, date of birth, place of birth, home address and a copy of your ID for each person. This is important because a crew list must be kept.
  • When you have landed, call us so that we can inform you of the exact location of the ship.
  • On board we walk barefoot or with specially designed boat shoes.
  • We recommend taking bathing shoes with you when swimming, as there can sometimes be sharp stones or sea urchins.
  • Since the weather can sometimes be cloudy, we recommend bringing a wind and rain jacket.
  • Please do not apply sun lotion on deck as the wind will spray it inappropriately onto the ship.
  • To protect yourself from insects on land and on deck, please bring your own insect repellent.
  • Please do not bring suitcases as they cannot be stowed away. Only bags and backpacks that can be rolled up.
  • There are some snorkels and diving goggles available to borrow on board. However, not all sizes.
  • Bed linen and towel are provided.
  • The railing provides protection so that no one falls off the ship. It is not designed to sit on or stand on it.
  • Only what we have eaten or drunk before can go into the toilet. EVERYTHING else needs to be put in the trash can. (Also the toilet paper). If the system is blocked, a fee of €300 will be charged.
  • Please always close the toilet lid so that nothing unintentionally falls in it.
  • Please use energy carefully, turn off the lights and fans when leaving the cabin.
  • Water is a very valuable resource and we should all use it carefully!
  • Please compress rubbish into small pieces.
  • Please put on dry pants and a shirt when sitting on the upholstered furniture below deck.
  • Remember that wind and waves could cause loose objects to fall overboard. (e.g. towels, bathing shoes, mobile phones, glasses, etc.)
  • We buy drinking water in bottles.
  • If you want to swim out of sight of the boat, you must inform the skipper in advance.
  • Smoking is only permitted outdoors.
  • In an emergency, the skipper’s instructions must be followed!

Since the weather is not always predictable, the route may change. We’ll adapt to the circumstances and will choose the most pleasant and safest route for all of us.
